Citizenship Act, 1955 - The Union Cabinet headed by PM Modi cleared the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 on 4 December 2019. The bill amends the Citizenship Act, 1955. The Bill will now be introduced in the 2019 winter session of the Parliament.
